West Belfast Locality Planning Group

A community information and open forum to share ideas and explore how to best take forward the establishment of a Locality Planning Group in West Belfast was held on 25th October 2012.  This event was facilitated by the West Belfast Partnership Board.  The event included presentations from Geraldine McAteer (West Belfast Partnership Board) and Tina Gregory (Clan Mór SureStart) on behalf of the Belfast Outcomes Group.  The event included round table discussions about what partnership work is already taking place in West Belfast, and the best way to move forward.

From this event a steering group was established and after several meetings which involved discussions about membership, areas covered purpose of the group the Locality Planning Group etc.  The first full Locality Planning Group was held on 20 February 2013. The group has good representation from Statutory, Voluntary and Community organisations working with and for children, young people and families in the area.  If you are interested in joining the West Belfast Locality Planning Group, contact  Martin Sloane
