Belfast Outcomes Group

The CYPSP has mandated the Belfast Outcomes Group to implement outcomes based planning for the Belfast Trust area. Outcomes based planning is the gathering statistical information and information from communities in order to understand how well children and young people are doing in terms of certain outcomes, and then putting into place services designed to improve these outcomes. The membership of the Belfast Outcomes Group reflects that of the CYPSP with representation from the statutory agencies and the voluntary and community sector. The Belfast Outcomes Group will enable the improvement of support and services for children and young people in ways that have not been possible up to now. We will build on achievements to date to make services better for children and young people.

Progress to date

Belfast Outcomes Group has membership from across the Statutory, Voluntary and Community and BME sectors working in the Belfast and Castlereagh areas. Over recent months the Belfast Outcomes Group has overseen a number of events:- - Family Support Funding - An open call for applications was issued by the Belfast HSCT on behalf of the Outcomes Group. The aim of the funding is to put in place a range of family support services which will provide improved outcomes for children and families in respect of the priority areas identified through the Action Plan. An information event was held on 10 April for all local providers. The closing date for applications was 26 April 2013 and the Trust are aiming for services to commence on 1 June 2013.
